In 2007 I started creating house shaped bead embroideries for use in my contribution to a collaborative artist book project. House I and House II are from this series. In May 2007 I joined the Bead Journal Project hosted by Robin Atkins. I picked the house shape as my format and challenged myself to produce one for each month from June 2007 through May 2008. The BJP houses are 94mm x 152mm following the "golden rectangle" and they contain other uses of sacred geometry in their design. |
